CUVÉE MAM’ZELLE
BLOND SOUR BARREL AGED
Trouble in paradise! A frivolous damsel enters the scene. It is a young lady that over a few months matured in oak wine barrels, which gave her a deep but soft-bitter tannin aftertaste. The taste is full and complex because the brewers induced a controlled souring during the ripening process. The Mam´zelle is by origin a blond beer. Ripening gave her a soft red glow. This is the reason why she is called ‘high-blond’. The alcohol percentage is 8.5 volume. Brewers maintain that she is ‘untameable’.

ARTWORK
Lowie Vermeersch (°1974), studied Industrial Design at the Technical University of Delft. As from 2007 he coached at Pininfarina a team of 100 people. In 2011 he started up his own design bureau “Granstudio”. In2012, he also was curator of the internationally renowned Interior Design Biennale.
The original work was a full-sized label. When launching the new labels, the brewery used part of the label in the new design. This removed however part of the original charisma. Probably to be continued in a following release.
