MA MÈRE SPÉCIALE
IPA BLOND
The longing for an ever more bitter beer grew. The French word for bitter is ‘amère’, and thus ‘Ma Mère Speciale’ joined the legion. This beer is dedicated to the mother of brewer Luc. 3 carefully selected and neatly dosed malts are paired with 7 fine hops. The golden-bitter ‘mother’ is according to the brewer ‘unbitterable’.

ARTWORK
The label was designed by Pieter Vermeersch (°1973).
Pieter, as a painter, is always on the search for the relation and the frontiers between representation and abstraction. He works on various mediums such as canvas. marble, pictures and existing architecture. Time, space and colour are the three building blocks of his oeuvre.
Pieter on his work depicted in the label: “I especially strived for a graphic and minimalistic design, using some ingredients from my practice. It became an image of un-destined space in its positive and negative aspects, lit up by the silhouette of a rose”.
