CUVÉE JEUN’HOMME
BLOND SOUR BARREL AGED
An oak-aged bitter beer. By origin the beer already has a light citrus-bitterness because of its 4 hops and the subsequent dry-hopping. The beer soured slowly during its 4 months storage in oak wine barrels. The daring bitter-sour combination was softened by the ageing which resulted in a very pleasant drink.

ARTWORK
Rik, the nephew of the brewer, proposed for the label a painting by his father José Vermeersch (°1922, +1997). This artist is mainly renowned for his ceramic sculptures of human figures and dogs.
His entire oeuvre testifies of an authentic quest for existential presence. “I react against the formality in name of life” (citation from the artist).
His paintings formed the basis of his ceramic and bronze sculptures.
José, uncle of the brewer in other words, represented in 1973 Belgium during the Biennale of Venice.
For this work Rik cites from the texts of his father: “Man is the mirror of the imaginary”.
