DARK-AGED ON WHISKY 'GOUDEN CAROLUS SINGLE MALT' BARRELS
The brewer wishes to sometimes ‘escape’ by creating a once-off beer. It always carries the same name, but with a different sequence number, and another content. The ‘Fils à Papa’ is a ‘pop up’ beer, a ‘limited edition’, each time something different, only brewed once. The label remains the same, but the data and colours change. In addition to the Fils à Papa 9, the brewery offers now also the Fils à Papa 10. It is a collaboration with brewery HET ANKER. The Fils à Papa 10 is a dark beer that ripened almost 1 years in oak whisky barrels from the GOUDEN CAROLUS SINGL MALT Whisky. The brewer gave the beer a soft and fine sourness that is partly masked by a range of herbs and the whisky in the barrels. A rich taste pallet with a soft-fine sourness is the result.

ARTWORK
Tinus Vermeersch (°1976) studied painting at the KASK in Ghent and sculpture arts at Sint-Lucas. Tinus has deepened his great affinity with craftsmanship (including exploring forms, lines, materials) into an 'art' that sometimes flirts with virtuosity.
In this work by Tinus, we see an undefined face of a man that can signify anything. Each new pop-up beer shows the same face in another colour-frame.
